![]() ![]() Make sure you are doing this to the files after you've transferred them to your hard drive, and not before (while the files are still on your memory card) because Comments don't transfer when you move files across drives. In the Finder window, either hit command+i or click in the Comments section of a selected file, then add your own notes to help you identify that file later on. I like to "tag" all my videos right then and there, while its all still fresh in my head. I always just import everything I shot, then while I'm watching the videos for the first time, I can delete all the shaky or useless/boring files and make note of the epic ones. I'm often out in the field or on vacations when I'm filming all this epic footage and need to back it up somewhere secure on a daily (or even hourly) basis, which is why I suggest a durable and portable drive for all that awesome HD footage. I've got a 2TB desktop hard drive for all of my everything, then a 500GB portable hard drive I use specifically for my GoPro videos. ![]() I'd highly recommend getting an external hard drive if you don't already have one. ![]() I definitely agree with simply using Finder for initial import that way you can organize all your files and easily track down a specific video later on. ![]()
